John Buettler

John Buettler joined the Our Lady of Grace Cemetery office staff in 2023. John previously taught (Religion, Latin, Psychology, English) at Holy Ghost Prep in Bensalem for 45 years. He was also a counselor/therapist at Merakey Behavioral Health for 15 years. John is a cantor at OLG, and a member of the RCIA team and the Faith Formation group. He also serves on the Board of Limited Jurisdiction for Our Lady of Grace School.

John attended Holy Ghost Prep (high school class of 1964) and has a BA in Classics from Duquesne University (1969). He earned his MA in Religious Studies (Scripture concentration) from the Religious Studies Division of St. Charles Seminary (1980), and a MA in Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University (1997). He also has his Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Cranaleith Spiritual Center (2017).

John has been married to his wife, Arlene, for 51 years, and they have 4 sons. John enjoys reading, studying languages, cooking, teaching, speaking, various crafts, and travel. He continues to coach public speaking for the Forensic team at Holy Ghost Prep.

John's favorite Saints are St. Anthony and St. Joseph.
