Perpetual Candle to be Lit Throughout the Month of May

There is a candle under the Blessed Mother statue at Our Lady of Grace Church that will be lit all throughout the month of May, which is the month of Mary. It is a simple, solitary candle to remind us that we are united before our Blessed Mother, asking her to intercede for us and to help us as we continue to walk through this pandemic. Our Lady is our patron here at OLG. Her Son listens to her all the time. We put our hands into hers and we ask her to pray for us.
  Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, our mother; to thee do we come, before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer us.
