On Saturday, April 6, OLG School will be hosting a Monte Carlo Night in the Gym from 7-11 PM! Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Your ticket also includes a buffet dinner, beer/wine, and soda. If you are 21 or over, we hope you will come out for a night of food, friends, and a ton of fun!
There will be 10 horse races that night and you could be a winner! You do not need to be present if your horse wins.
Here is how Monte Carlo works:
Participants can name their own horses (kids can help with this part at home!). Any appropriate name is good. Horse names and owner names will be shown together - for example: (horse/owner) "Giddy-up Girl!"/John Doe.
The night of the event, we will play 10 pre-taped horse races. These are real races, but the winner is not known until the race is viewed on the screen. Each horse purchased will be placed in a race and assigned a number. The more horses sold, the more we can have several heats within a race, meaning that there can be multiple people winning one race.
For example: John Doe's horse, whom he named "Giddy-Up Girl," is listed in our event book in Race 3, and is designated as horse number 7 in that race. If horse number 7 happens to win that race, John Doe would win $50!
Tickets and horses are on sale now through Wednesday, March 27 and may be purchased after Masses in the main vestibule. Order forms with payment may also be placed in the church collection basket for Will Call tickets at the event.
We are also looking for sponsors for the races. Families, alumni, businesses, and anyone can sponsor a horse. All proceeds benefit our great school.
